Anthony Pangilinan weighs in on handling of Baby Doll Juby’s interview

Anthony Pangilinan spoke up about Showtime Baby Doll Juby’s “dream” about his actor son Donny Pangilinan, saying that her statement could have been handled with more sensitivity.
Juby and her fellow members made a guest appearance on “Gandang Gabi, Vice” last Oct. 18, where she shared a dream she had that supposedly involved a sexual encounter with Pangilinan. The topic came up after show host Vice Ganda asked the girl group members their respective celebrity crushes.
Anthony addressed the matter through his Instagram Stories last Saturday, Oct. 31, while echoing Donny’s sentiment that Juby may not have intended to offend anyone.

“‘Di naman ata sinadyang make-offend ‘yung guest. Siguro lang next time, ‘yung handling of the comment, like ‘yung follow up question and edit could be more responsible and sensitive to certain audiences, like to Maricel as a mom,” the celebrity dad wrote, referring to his actress wife Maricel Laxa.

“Hopefully, as Donny said, a learning experience for all, new and seasoned in the industry,” he added.
Prior to this, Donny said he was not offended by Juby’s statement, although he admitted he felt awkward about it.
Juby and Vice Ganda, who also drew criticism over the interview, have yet to publicly speak about the matter as of this writing. /edv
