Coronation Street reveals first look at Jodie and Shona's shocking showdown

Translate

Coronation Street has unveiled a first look at Jodie Ramsey and Shona Platt's shocking showdown, as the gun storyline comes to a head. Shona's villainous sister has been trying to steal her life recently, carrying out a vicious plan to replace her.

Ahead of the violent new twist, tonight's scenes saw things take a further turn as Jodie worried that Shona had worked out that sounds of baby Harper crying were actually a recording. As such, she took measures to get it played through Lily's phone during the Bistro party.

Her plan to frame Lily appeared to be a success when Shona declared she wanted Lily out, despite David's protests and Lily pleading her innocence.

In new follow-on scenes airing tomorrow, things reach a dramatic low at No 8 as Jodie tries to seduce David… and it appears that she may have turned his head in the moment Shona returns home.

New official stills show the aftermath as Jodie points her gun at Shona and David, Jodie's sister finally confronting her about her obsessive behaviour.

However, the couple are wrongly convinced the weapon is fake and decide to challenge Jodie. But this proves to be a potentially fatal mistake as a gunshot then rings out. With someone lying on the floor, who is the victim?

"This is a life-changing situation, and somebody's world comes crashing down in an instant," our Corrie insider previously teased.

"Worse still, the rest of the Platts get dragged into this, with David being the one to desperately call for an ambulance. Things are looking very bleak for everyone concerned."

Police then surround the house, with DS Connor-Swain interviewing David about what happened. But will he support the truth? Or succumb to being manipulated by Jodie and tell lies?

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
