Huddah Monroe Explains Why She Would Never Date or Marry a Kenyan Man

Translate

Huddah Monroe has dismissed claims that she hates Kenyan men, clarifying that her personal dating preferences should not be mistaken for animosity towards them.

Huddah made the remarks on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 25, 2026, during a question-and-answer session with her followers.

One fan asked what Kenyan men had done to her, suggesting that she appeared to “seriously hate them”.

In response, the socialite pointed to her family background, noting that while her father is Somali, her mother and brothers are Kenyan.

“My dad is Somali. My mom is Kenyan. My brothers are Kenyan. Why would I hate Kenyan men?” she said.

She added: “I wouldn’t marry or date them, [but that] doesn’t mean I hate them.”

Huddah Previously Ruled Out Kenyan Celebrities

The socialite’s latest remarks follow a similar exchange on July 7, 2025, when a fan questioned why no Kenyan celebrity had managed to get her pregnant.

“Scar once asked why KE celebs wameshindwa kumpa Huddah mimba. Any comment?” the fan asked.

“I do not date celebs. Not Kenyan one, especially,” Huddah responded.

Her comments suggested that her reservations about dating Kenyan men, particularly celebrities, were rooted in her personal preferences rather than hatred.

Her History With Prezzo

Huddah’s remarks also come against the backdrop of her widely publicised association with veteran rapper Prezzo, whose real name is Jackson Ngechu Makini.

In August 2024, the socialite revealed that she had run away from home as a teenager and spent two years on the streets of Nairobi, during which she said she spent some time with the rapper.

“I ran away from home for 2 years, galavanting Nairobi streets, some months with Prezzo,” she said.

She also recalled how her mother took her to Kenyatta National Hospital to see patients living with HIV/AIDS after noticing her interest in boys.

“My 16-year-old self was traumatized,” Huddah said.

In 2014, Huddah claimed that Prezzo was the first man she had slept with, describing him as the one true love of her life. Prezzo, however, denied ever dating her.

The two later appeared to have buried their differences, with Huddah announcing that the rapper would attend a party she was hosting and referring to him as the man who took her virginity.

“Buried the hatchet… And the one love of my life. The n**** that broke my virginity (T.M.I?????????) will be coming thru to Huddah Million Party,” she wrote on social media.

She added: “El Presidente @prezzo254. We don’t turn up… we turn over.”

Huddah and Prezzo’s Big Brother Africa Connection

Both Huddah and Prezzo rose to prominence through Big Brother Africa, although they participated in different editions of the reality show.

Prezzo finished as the first runner-up in the 2012 Stargame edition, while Huddah represented Kenya in the 2013 edition, The Chase.
