Euromatch NPFL: Kwara United Boss Reveals Secret Behind Win Over Nasarawa United

Kwara United technical adviser, Ashifat Suleiman, has attributed his side’s 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United to their defensive resilience and ability to capitalise on their chances.

The Harmony Boys secured all three points in their Matchday Five encounter at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium, Ilorin, on Wednesday.

Sanni Muhammad put Kwara United ahead early in the first half before Jofrank Istifanus restored parity for the visitors.

Abdulsalam Abdulsalam, however, netted the decisive goal to hand the home side victory.

Speaking to the media after the game, Suleiman said his players responded well to the pressure and remained disciplined defensively.

“Football is about moments. They had theirs and we also had ours. That’s football,” Suleiman said.

“We are happy with the result. We defended well and responded quickly to the pressure to make sure we got the three points.”

Kwara United will travel to Owerri on Sunday for a clash with Kun Khalifat FC.
