KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — After concluding his working visit to Sabah today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim departed for New Delhi to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit, where he is also scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said he was scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of India, as well as the presidents of Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

“My delegation and I have departed for New Delhi, India to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit.

“My itinerary in India also includes a visit to Keralam to meet the Grand Mufti of India to exchange views on community development, education and religious affairs,” he said.

After completing his diplomatic mission in India, Anwar will proceed to Malé, Maldives for an official visit at the invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

“May everything go smoothly and may this visit bring tangible benefits to the people and the country. Insya-Allah,” he said. — Bernama
