Witney Carson wants fans to know she’s thrilled to keep bumping to the beat on Dancing With the Stars.
After the professional dancer and her partner Guillermo Rodriguez were put in the bottom three for the third week in a row on Yacht Rock Night, Carson—who is pregnant with her third baby boy—addressed speculation that she wants the pair to be eliminated from the show, explaining the reason behind her reactions to learning she and Rodriguez weren’t kicked off.
“I do feel like I need to address some rumors going around or some opinions, speculations, whatever you want to call it,” Carson shared in a Sept. 29 TikTok video. “Every week, Guillermo and I have been put in the bottom three, which doesn't necessarily mean all those couples have the lowest votes, but it does mean that you don't get to celebrate that you're safe. You only get to hear who's going home.”
According to the 32-year-old—who shares sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 3, with husband Carson McAllister—her disappointed facial expressions after finding out she and Rodriguez were safe were due to her being “genuinely sad for the people going home,” before then feeling “excitement.”
“Those two emotions are existing at once,” Carson explained. “But my first initial reaction is sad for whoever's going home, and then obviously we celebrate, and they don't really show that bit.”
And for those who needed further clarification, the two-time DWTS champion emphasized, “Yes, I am very happy that we're continuing on.”
“I am truly so grateful to continue on in this competition week after week with Guillermo because he really deserves it,” she continued. “He is genuinely a kind person. He genuinely wants to get better. He never gives up.”

Indeed, fans saw Rodriguez and Carson earn their highest score yet—15 out of 30—after they performed a foxtrot to “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes on Yacht Rock Night Sept. 29.
And Carson noted that Jimmy Kimmel Live! star “deserves” all the praise.
“What you see on Tuesdays is his very best,” she shared. “There's a lot to say about someone who may not have the skills, but is willing to learn and put in the work. That's an amazing thing.”
