Teresa Guidice‘s daughter Milania Giudice is opening up about her mental health.
The 20-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who recently made headlines over a family altercation at the Tampa International Airport with mom Teresa Giudice and older sister Gia Giudice, took to social media to share her mental health disorders.
“I do struggle with mental health issues,” Milania said in an Instagram video shared on Monday. “I am bipolar. I struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD, and I am not ashamed of any of my mental health disorders because I’m currently at a treatment center. My mom’s on her way to come visit me today.”
“I do work on myself, but you know what? I am only 20 years old and this summer hit me like a bus,“ she added. In addition the airport altercation, the young reality star‘s best friend also reportedly died in July.
“A lot of things happened in a short amount of time, and I’m trying to just process everything,” she said. “It’s really hard being in the public light while you go through things in life.”
“I just want to say I’m sorry … I just haven’t been showing the Milania that I want to show and I want to do better,” she added. “I want to continue working on myself and try to completely change everything I’ve been posting and everything because I want to help people in life.”
In her post, Milania also apologized to her followers, saying that she hasn‘t been using the platform “the way I want to use it.“
“Since I was a little kid, I told my family and my parents that I want to help people in life, and that is what I want to do,“ she said.
After video footage of the reality star‘s airport drama surfaced online, Teresa Giudice shared a statement on her Instagram stories, writing, “As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety and well-being of my children. The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life. Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for. Right now, my only focus is my daughter — making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support and the care she needs.”
Teresa Giudice will return for season 15 of RHONJ, which is currently in production after a two-year hiatus.
