China had a considerably tougher quarterfinal, coming from 1-2 down to beat South Korea 3-2. Shi Yuqi won the opening singles, but Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang and Li Shifeng lost the next two matches. He Jiting-Liu Yi levelled the tie before Weng Hongyang won the deciding third singles to take China through.

Lakshya Sen set India on its way against Japan with a remarkable comeback against Kodai Naraoka. After losing the opening game 11-21, Sen took the second 21-5 and reeled off seven consecutive points from 14-19 down in the decider to win 21-19. Satwik-Chirag then beat Takuro Hoki-Yugo Kobayashi 21-18, 24-22, before Ayush Shetty defeated Koki Watanabe 21-10, 21-19 to complete the 3-0 victory.
