Limpopo police launched a successful manhunt following the murder of popular comedian and content creator Khadziyane Ndivhuwo, known as Skeem Mafenya, in the Malamulele area.

The 20-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body at Madonsi Boltman B in the Vhembe District in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said they received a report about a person lying motionless inside a yard. When officers arrived, they found Ndivhuwo lying on the ground.

Emergency Medical Services personnel were summoned to the scene but declared him dead.

What happened?

According to information provided by police, the incident occurred at approximately 03:35 on Saturday.

It is alleged that a community member heard a knock at their door. When they looked through a window, they noticed Ndivhuwo bleeding profusely.

Emergency services were called, but he could not be saved.

Ndivhuwo resided in Malamulele B2 Extension and was known locally for his comedy and online content.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the stabbing. Police say the suspects include a teenager, aged 17.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says the suspects are expected to appear in court soon.

“The suspects were arrested just hours later in an intelligence-driven operation. We welcome this arrest and we’re going to monitor the case closely to ensure that the suspects are held criminally liable. The suspects are expected to appear before the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court soon, facing a charge of murder,” explained Mashaba.
