A Logan man has been charged with the stabbing murder of a 32-year-old who died in hospital overnight.

The Brisbane man was wounded in the chest early Saturday morning at a house on Barcelona Street at Wishart.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died from his injuries.

His alleged attacker, also 32, faces one charge of murder, and is also charged with contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.

Police said the two men knew each other.

Forensic officers were still at the two-storey house on Sunday, where they could be seen dusting for prints.

The accused is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

He was initially charged with grievous bodily harm but the charge was upgraded to murder after his alleged victim's death.
