Israeli lecturer indicted for planning mass terror attack against Palestinians, Arab Israelis
The State Attorney's Office indicted on Monday a mathematics professor in his 60s at Bar-Ilan University for planning a series of mass terrorist attacks of nationalist-ideological motives against hundreds of Palestinians and Arab-Israelis.
The goal, according to the prosecution, was mass transfer.
He was charged with preparing to commit an act of terrorism, extortion by threats, and obstruction of justice. Prosecutors also asked the court to keep him in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings against him.
