Exhilarating Serie A and B see no 0-0 draws after first 40 games

Italian football is silencing the usual cliché of boring Catenaccio style tactics, because for the first time in history there have been no 0-0 draws in the first four Serie A or Serie B rounds.
There have been quite a few changes over the summer in a bid to make Calcio more entertaining, but also bring up the general tempo of the sport to match that of European competition.
That is mainly a different refereeing approach, letting the play flow a lot more, with fewer free kicks, cards and general stoppages.
Serie A teams can’t stop scoring
It has paid off handsomely, because the teams are scoring more goals and there were no penalties or VAR On-Field Reviews at all in the first 31 Italian top flight games.
Above all, it has seen an historic dearth of goalless draws, because for the first time ever there were no 0-0 draws in the opening four rounds of either Serie A or Serie B season.
There have been 121 goals scored in the first 40 Italian top flight fixtures this season, an average of 3.025 per game.
In Week 4 alone, there were Sassuolo 3-2 Juventus and Inter 5-3 Udinese, for a total 39 goals in 10 games.
The Premier League has had four 0-0 draws in the opening four rounds, while LaLiga had three.
In another curious statistic, there have been six stalemates overall in Serie A this season, as more teams play for all three points.
