New chapter: Durban’s Nenezane Hair Studios moves to Joburg!

Snenhlanhla Mthembu, the owner of Nenezane Hair Studios, announced via Instagram on 1 October 2026 that her popular establishment is officially making the move to Johannesburg.

The Durban-based salon has attracted “amazing women” over the years, including celebrities such as Mawhoo, Sithelo Shozi, and Ntando Duma, who have trusted the brand for premium wig installations.

NENEZANE HAIR STUDIOS IS MOVING TO JOBURG

The salon will officially unplug its hairdryers and tongs on 25 November 2026, marking a brand-new chapter in Johannesburg from 1 December 2026.

The move to the City of Gold ushers in growth for the business, which has enjoyed a successful five-year run in Durban.

Snenhlanhla expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all her clients for their unwavering support and trust throughout the years.

“For the past 5 years since I started this journey of wig installations, you have been my rock. You supported me when I had nothing; you never left my side; you referred your sisters, your friends, your mothers to me,” she wrote.

“You trusted me with your crowns, you celebrated my wins with me, and you lifted me on my hard days. Because of you, Nenezane Hair Studios became what it is today,” she added.

FROM DURBAN TO JOBURG

For Snenhlanhla, Durban isn’t merely a place of business; it is also home. Therefore, it is not easy to simply pack up and leave, considering the invaluable connections she has forged there.

However, the move also presents an uncertain yet exciting future, one she hopes God will guide her through.

“Leaving Durban is not easy. I have built so much more than a business here. I have built a family,” she wrote.

She added, “I have met the most amazing women and will forever cherish every appointment, every laugh, every conversation we had in my chair.”

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, your loyalty, and your support. I will never take it for granted,” she continued.

“As I move to Johannesburg, I am moving to start a brand-new chapter. 1 am scared, but I am hopeful that I will go and make the most of this opportunity. I am praying that God goes before me and opens doors for me in Joburg just like He did for me here in Durban,” she added.

GOOD NEWS FOR DURBAN CLIENTS

Luckily for her beloved clients in Durban, the relocation is not the end of Snenhlanhla’s services, as they can still order wigs online, and she will take bookings whenever she is in the city.
