Winnie-the-Pooh is one of the most iconic characters of all time, and it has touched the lives of millions of children. I’m certainly one of them, having grown up with the honey-loving bear. My nursery was Winnie-the-Pooh themed, and one of my favorite shows was The New Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh. As I write this article, I’m coincidentally drinking coffee from a Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet-themed mug.

I even remember dragging around an Eeyore stuffed animal with a removable tail. So, when my “For You” pages on social media were flooded with news of Winnie-the-Pooh’s 100th anniversary, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic, and maybe a little old. However, Winnie-the-Pooh’s legacy is still going strong, and the next generation will have plenty of adventures to enjoy, just as I did, thanks to new projects like the upcoming Pooh Bear Adventures Christmas Special.

While comics may not be the medium most closely associated with bringing the honey-loving bear and his friends to life, Winnie-the-Pooh has appeared in comic books long before.
