Brics summit: Chinese leader Xi calls for cooperation on AI-powered industrial plan

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday hailed Brics as the world’s most influential platform for cooperation among emerging markets and developing countries.

Speaking at the bloc’s summit in New Delhi, Xi also called on the leaders of major emerging economies to play a “due role” in bringing peace to the Middle East, calling for member states to stand on the right side of history.

He said the war in the Middle East had caused serious losses to people across the region and did not serve the common interests of the international community, according to state news agency Xinhua.
