Sanjeev Bhaskar reveals hope to reunite with Unforgotten co-star Nicola Walker in The Split crossover

The Split Up star Sanjeev Bhaskar has opened up about the possibility of reuniting with Unforgotten co-star Nicola Walker in a potential crossover with the original series, saying it would be a "cosmic miracle".

The upcoming six-part legal drama, which is a Manchester-based spin-off of The Split, will revolve around Kishan Law – a high net worth British South Asian family firm led by Bhaskar’s character, Druv.

Speaking about how he would feel if The Split’s Hannah Stern (Walker) were to one day stride into Kishan Law, Bhaskar said in an interview with Gareth McLean for Radio Times: “Emotionally, it would be like some sort of cosmic miracle. I wouldn’t mind it at all.”

The primary plot in The Split Up focuses on Aria Kishan (The Umbrella Academy's Ritu Arya), who’s all set to take over the firm from her father – that is, until the death of her mother casts new light over succession plans for the family, and Druv begins to doubt that Aria has what it takes.

The series also explores various strands in Aria’s personal life, including her relationship with Neal (Dinosaur's Danny Ahok), which is soon complicated by the arrival of an old contact and the firm's new senior associate, Luke (Those About To Die's Dimitri Leonidas).

The cast of The Split Up also features Aysha Kala and Arian Nik as Aria’s siblings, Maya and Kav.

Rounding out the cast are Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Sindhu Vee (Matilda the Musical), Shalini Peiris (The White Lotus) and Tom Forbes (Queenie).
