SINGAPORE, Nov 8 — Singapore residents driving to Malaysia can expect a 1.5-hour wait at Woodlands Checkpoint on Deepavali (Nov 8).

The Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) said in a Facebook post at 7am: “Heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint due to tailback from Malaysia.

“Delays are expected and travellers are advised to check traffic conditions before embarking on their journey.”

ICA also urged travellers to follow its Facebook page for more updates.

AsiaOne’s checks on the Checkpoint.sg app at around 9.15am shows a waiting time of between 85 and 130 minutes from Woodlands Checkpoint to Johor.

On the other hand, there is an estimated waiting time of 50 to 80 minutes for those travelling to Johor via Tuas Checkpoint.
