對於法庭就黃之鋒案判刑，行政長官李家超表示，黃之鋒、羅冠聰及其團夥是破壞香港繁榮穩定共中禍首，其惡行均屬極之嚴重的罪行，嚴重損害了國家主權、安全及發展利益。

保安局局長鄧炳強表示，黃之鋒被判囚十年已反映罪行嚴重性，會與律政司研究需否就判刑作出上訴。
