A 36-year-old manager of a lending company was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects while traveling on his motorcycle in Dueñas, Iloilo, on Wednesday morning.

In a report by Kim Salinas on GMA Regional TV *Ratsada Balita* on Wednesday, the incident occurred in Barangay Punong Grande.

The victim was riding his motorcycle when the suspects, who were also aboard a motorcycle, opened fire on him.

He sustained three gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.

Authorities suspect that the killing may have been related to the victim's work.

Investigators noted that the assailants immediately fled after the shooting without taking any of the victim's belongings.

Police discovered that the victim was carrying approximately P300,000 in cash on his motorcycle, which the suspects left behind.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and identify and track down the gunmen. —RF, GMA News
