Malaysian GP: Give fans a race to remember, Zulfahmi tells Danish

KUALA LUMPUR: Zulfahmi Khairuddin is keen to see Hakim Danish Ramli show his fans his true abilities at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia which starts tomorrow.

Zulfahmi, who has mentored and managed Danish since 2020, wants him to leverage the strong support he will receive at his home circuit.

Sepang International Circuit (SIC) yesterday disclosed that the Hakim Danish Tribune at the track has "long been sold out".

"He knows the support from Malaysian fans will be tremendous, and we hope he can use that as an additional source of motivation to deliver his best performances throughout the weekend," said Zulfahmi.

"Danish has already demonstrated his ability this season, which includes securing victory at the Czech GP.

"We want him to carry that confidence into Sepang, work hard in every session and make the most of every opportunity to achieve the best possible result.

"Most importantly, we want Danish to enjoy racing in front of his home supporters, remain focused and give everything he has from the very first practice session.

"We hope this weekend will be a proud and memorable experience for him and all motorsport fans across the country."

The Moto3 rookie notched impressive results earlier this season, finishing third at Mugello and winning his maiden grand prix at Brno, both in July.

It was the first time a Malaysian had won a Moto3 race since Khairul Idham Pawi in 2016.

Danish has, however, only managed two top-10 finishes since then, the last of which came at the Red Bull Ring, four rounds ago.

The 19-year-old is a product of SIC's rider development programme, which has been managed by Zulfahmi's ZK Racing outfit.
