Fiorentina striker Mateo Pellegrino imitated legendary Gabriel Omar Batistuta after scoring the opening goal in a home match against Juventus.
Pellegrino opened the account just four minutes in, beating Juventus goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario with a towering header from a corner-kick routine.
His post-goal gesture was familiar to Tuscan fans: he recreated Batistuta’s iconic ‘machine gun’ celebration as his teammates embraced him.
Juventus equalised before the break when Nick Woltemade netted his first Serie A goal in the 32nd minute.
Football Italia is among the accredited media at the Franchi this evening.
