Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed plans to expand digital government services and upgrade telecommunications infrastructure during a meeting on Sunday, October 11, 2026, to prepare for Egypt Forum 2026.

During the talks, they reviewed the forum’s Digital Egypt session, which will examine progress in digital transformation and the remaining challenges.

The forum will take place from October 19 to 24 in the New Capital at the direction of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

For his part, Madbouly called for continued investment in telecommunications infrastructure and better integration of government digital systems, particularly amid the growing use of artificial intelligence.

He said that the government aims to improve services for citizens and investors, protect digital data and ensure that online services remain affordable and accessible.

The meeting, attended by Communications and Information Technology Minister Raafat Hindi and Justice Minister Mahmoud Helmy al-Sherif, also discussed expanding services on the Digital Egypt platform.

Officials reviewed efforts to digitize civil registry and real estate registration services, simplify procedures and reduce transaction times.

The Digital Egypt session will also examine how digital transformation supports the economy, including the outsourcing industry’s contribution to exports and job creation.
