Hang Out Backstage With BTS in This 36-Minute Behind-the-Scenes Arirang World Tour Video

BTS is inviting ARMY backstage by sharing an in-depth look at what the guys get up to on show days while on the ARIRANG World Tour.

In a “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN EUROPE Sketch” posted Thursday (Oct. 1), the septet takes fans along with them as they travel the world on the European leg of the trek, which began at the end of June in Spain and concluded mid-July in France. The footage alternates between clips of RM, Jimin, Jung Kook, V, SUGA, Jin and j-hope chilling together in green rooms, suiting up in their concert attire with help from their styling team, and interacting with ARMY in the crowd once they take the stage.

Arguably the best moments of the video, however, are when the bandmates are just chilling or goofing off backstage, sharing meals together and teasing one another. You also get to see Jung Kook practicing the various native languages of the countries they visit in order to better address the crowd while on stage, as well as Jin and V get into a tickle fight as j-hope shakes his head in disbelief.

The ARIRANG trek in its entirety kicked off April in South Korea, after which the Bangtan Boys went back and forth between Asia and North America for various shows before kicking off the European leg. After about a month’s break following their longer North American run in August and the first few days of September, BTS is now gearing up to pick back up in Colombia on Friday (Oct. 2).

As captured in the tour sketch, the ARIRANG excursion is absolutely massive — something reflected in the numbers BTS’ team has reported to Billboard Boxscore. ARIRANG recently logged the second biggest one-month gross in Boxscore history, falling just short of Beyoncé’s $179.3 million in August 2023 with $171.7 million across 801,000 tickets sold over 12 shows in August.

The tour’s success also matches the hype surrounding BTS’ latest album, ARIRANG. Marking the group’s full-band return following the members’ respective times in the South Korean military, the project spent three weeks atop the Billboard 200 and spawned Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “SWIM.”
