President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reacts to the statements issued by Vice President Sara Duterte, who is facing an impeachment trial and a grave threats charge at a Quezon City trial court.

"You know I hear about them, I don't really have a response. She's very angry. I suppose with what's happening to her. And I am the target of that anger... or the main target for that anger," Marcos told reporters.

"What can I do?...You cannot force anyone to love you," he added.

The Vice President on Friday on Friday called on President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. to step down from office during a rally at the Quezon City Hall following her supposed arraignment in relation to her grave threats charges. The arraignment was postponed due to the motion filed by Duterte's camp.

"Patuloy tayong manawagan ng paglayas ng problema ng ating bayan na ang pangalan ay Bongbong Marcos. Resign! Umalis ka dyan!" Duterte told her supporters.

(Let us continue to clamor that our nation's problem would leave. The name of that problem is Bongbong Marcos. Resign! Leave!)

Members of the media asked for his reaction to the statements issued by the Vice President during a press conference at the sidelines of the BRIC Summit in India.

The BRICS Summit is an annual meet between heads of state as a means of consultation and cooperation on different global issues.

Marcos had been invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and is set to have a bilateral meeting with him. The President said that he will also meet with Indian companies and other key players. — BAP, GMA News
