Boy, 16, among three charged with murder of mistaken-identity shooting victim

A teenage boy and two men have been charged with murder over the mistaken-identity shooting of a university student in Sydney's south-west earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to the Glen Alpine home about 3:40am on September 1 following reports of a home invasion.
NSW Police found Marco Tapia, 23, inside with a gunshot wound.
He died at the scene.
Officers were told at the time three unknown offenders had fled the scene before they arrived.
Detectives have since confirmed the wrong house was targeted.
About 9am on Tuesday, State Crime Command's Homicide Squad officers under Strike Force Gareno arrested a 16-year-old boy and two men, aged 22 and 23, in Junee in the state's Riverina region.
They were taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and charged with murder, two counts of special aggravated break and enter and the serious indictable offence of possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm.
Police will allege the three males, including one allegedly armed with a pistol, entered the home and confronted Mr Tapia, before he was fatally shot.
All three were remanded in custody, with the two men set to appear at bail court today.
The 16-year-old will appear at a children's court today.
Two other teenage boys have also been charged with offences.
