Sex offender on the run after escaping from gym

Translate

Authorities are searching for a sex offender who escaped government custody while at a gym in Ipswich, west of Brisbane.

Denzel Dynevor, 25, was with Forensic Disability Services officers at a gym in Eastern Heights when he ran out an emergency exit at about 11:20 on Tuesday morning.

He has not been seen since.

Members of the public are being asked not to approach the man.

Dynevor is described as a First Nations man about 160 centimetres tall with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black singlet, blue shorts and black shoes, but could have since changed his clothing.

Anyone who may have seen him, or has any information that may assist police, is being urged to immediately contact police.

Forensic Disability Services Queensland manages adults who have been detained on forensic orders.
