The Nigerian youngsters delivered a memorable performance against their South American opponents, showing determination, attacking quality and composure to secure their place in the final in Morocco.

Queen Joseph broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, finishing off an assist from Oluwakemi Adegbuyi. The Flamingos continued to dominate after taking the lead, with Awawu Bashiru doubling their advantage in the 71st minute.

Bashiru then completed her brace in the 80th minute, converting Oluebube Umejiaku's pass to put Nigeria firmly in control at 3–0. Brazil managed to score a consolation goal in the 89th minute, but it was not enough to stop the Nigerian youngsters from securing a historic victory.

The victory marks the first time Nigeria's Flamingos have reached the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Their previous best performance came in 2022, when they finished third and claimed the bronze medal.

Nigeria will now face Japan in Saturday's final on November 7, 2026, with an opportunity to become the first Nigerian team to win the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Japan booked their place after defeating defending champions North Korea
