In short:

Queensland Police employee Muamer Nukic has pleaded guilty to making nine offensive and antisemitic comments on social media.

In the comments on a post on the platform Threads, the 51-year-old Protective Services Group employee advocated for violence and rape.

He was given a nine-month good-behaviour bond and a $1,000 penalty.

A Queensland Police employee has been given a good behaviour bond over antisemitic social media comments he made on social media platform Threads.

WARNING: The following story contains language which may distress.

Muamer Nukic, a QPS Protective Services Group employee, was arrested in January and charged with 41 counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass, or cause offence.

Today, he pleaded guilty before he was sentenced in the Brisbane magistrates court, where he was supported by his wife and daughter.

The court heard the charges related to nine offensive and antisemitic comments made under existing posts on Threads between February 18, 2024 and January 2, 2026.

In those comments, Nukic advocated for violence and rape, as well as commenting the "100" emoji under a post which referred to Jewish people as a "disgusting infiltration".

The court heard the 51-year-old had been diagnosed with PTSD over distressing events he witnessed during the Bosnian war as a child. He came to Australia when he was 18.

His lawyer argued he was "triggered" by recent events in Gaza, as a result.

Nukic's defence also tendered a number of character witness statements, which advocated for his status as a productive community member, including positions of responsibility he held at a Bosniak Islamic centre and a local football club.

A magistrate released Nukic without passing a sentence. He was given a nine-month good behaviour bond and a $1,000 penalty.
