Jopay Paguia ‘respects’ Rochelle Pangilinan, but stands firm on her work ethic
Jopay Paguia addressed the recent statement of fellow SexBomb Girls member Rochelle Pangilinan about their alleged rift, while underscoring her strong work ethic as part of the group.
Pangilinan, who serves as the group’s leader, earlier admitted that there have been misunderstandings among them but noted that they respect each other.
She nonetheless stressed, “Kung gusto niyo na maging leader ako, kailangan rumespeto tayo. Kailangan magkaroon tayo ng work ethic, discipline. Maraming kailangang gawin na mapagkakasunduan ng bawat isa.”

In a recent interview, Paguia was asked about her side on the matter, saying some deemed Pangilinan’s remark to be “out of context.”

“Hindi na po kasi bago sa akin po ‘yon. Ang ano lang po nung iba, out of context lang po ‘yung sagot niya,” Paguia said. “Pero ang sakin na lang, I respect kung ano ‘yung sinabi niya.”
“Hindi ko naman po sinasabing totoo na gano’n ako. Lagi kong sinasabi na kung sa [work ethic], grabe po, kung [work ethic] lang po, pilay po ako, wala po ako dito,” she continued. “Pero kasi po may pamilya po ako.”
Without expounding, Paguia nonetheless noted that she remains willing to work alongside Pangilinan.
“Wala naman pong problema sa akin. Walang masamang tinapay naman po sa akin,” Paguia continued. “Kung ayaw niya akong kausapin, it’s okay. Pero lagi naman pong akong nag-a-approach e. Pag ni-decline, e ‘di decline. Wala naman po tayong magagawa e.”

She further acknowledged that the SexBomb Girls shared happy moments together, also recognizing that challenges are part of their journey as a group.
“Siguro dumadaan lang po kami sa ano… Actually, ni-message ko siya [Pangilinan] noon, sabi ko, ‘Mahal kita at hindi magbabago ‘yon.’ Kasi ang tagal po naming magkakasama. Mahal mo ‘yung tao e,” she disclosed.

“Kaya kahit anong binabato ng mga tao na ‘wala kang kwenta; gusto mo maging leader,’ ganyan—sa totoo lang po, ayoko maging leader kasi ayokong magturo,” she clarified. “Hindi po kasi ako bossy na tao. What you see is what you get po sa akin.”
“Ako po, bina-balance ko ‘yung life ko bilang performer, artista, asawa at bilang [ina],” she added.
