Sources: Rams don't intend to limit Nacua's workload in return vs. Eagles

The Los Angeles Rams do not intend to limit Puka Nacua's workload Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, sources told ESPN.

Nacua has missed Los Angeles' last two games because of an injury to his hip and groin.

The Rams want to see Nacua's conditioning level once he's out on the field against the Eagles -- and that always could impact his snap count -- but they enter Sunday with no intention of limiting his snaps, according to sources.

Sources told ESPN last week that Nacua was dealing with mainly a groin injury that was impacting his explosiveness. The two-time Pro Bowler did not feel like he could play with the same explosiveness he had in the past, but the Rams viewed it as a short-term injury that they did not believe would require surgery.

Nacua does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game in Philadelphia after being a full participant in Friday's practice. Coach Sean McVay said Nacua "looked sharp" during practice Thursday, when the Rams have their heaviest workload.

"In terms of the snap count, that's the thing that we have to be willing to navigate," McVay told reporters Thursday. "But we've got confidence in some other guys that have played meaningful snaps in his absence.

"But he does look good. He looks strong, and he looks ready to go."
