The Team Buys U.K. Creators Agency In Expansion Move

As The Team (formerly known as Wasserman) moves past a sales process that saw the exit of its founder, the Mike Watts-led company is in expansion mode.

The Westwood-based management and production firm has acquired boutique, U.K.-based creators agency Outreach Talent Group, the company’s evp of creators, Michael Calvin Jones, said Tuesday.

“OTG’s impressive growth over the past five years is a testament to the level of service and commitment they provide their talent every day,” Jones stated. “Their values and approach to representation closely align with ours, making OTG a natural addition to THE·TEAM as we continue expanding our ability to represent leading talent across Europe.”

Outreach, co-founded by Emilio and Amy Arciniega, has its main base in London but also has a New York presence. The firm, started in 2021, has a client list that cuts across creator categories, including Laila Paul, Cleanwith Bea, Montel Mckenzie, Calum Harris, Danny Rae, Sophie Richards, Pulp Kitchen, Dr Faye, Home with Roo, Jenny Mannion, Jess Breach and Jess Iszatt, among others.

The move will bolt-on Outreach to a creators roster at The Team that includes Livvy Dunne, Taylen Biggs, Grant Horvat, The Bryan Bros, MatPat, Abby Baffoe and more. Emilio Arciniega, will join The Team as svp in the creators unit.

The Team, owned by Providence Equity Partners, rebranded earlier this year as founder and mogul Casey Wasserman sold his stake and exited the company following an Eptein-related scandal that saw the exits of multiple clients.

The firm comprises a powerhouse sports representation unit, a music agency group, as well as production-management firm Brillstein, a marketing services unit and more assets. The company has snapped up many multiple boutique agencies over its two and a half decades and had 4,000 employees as of earlier this year. It launched its creators division in 2023.

Arciniega added, “This acquisition marks an exciting next step in OTG’s journey as we expand globally. Joining THE·TEAM gives our clients access to greater opportunities, capabilities and support beyond the UK, while allowing us to build on what has made OTG successful.”
