Galatasaray has received a boost on Tuesday as star striker Victor Osimhen returned to partial team training ahead of Friday’s Trendyol Süper Lig Week 7 home clash against Kasımpaşa.
In a post on Galatasaray’s X account on Wednesday, the Nigeria international, sidelined with a groin injury, joined his teammates for part of the session at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities under head coach Okan Buruk.

Osimhen took part in the opening stages of the workout before continuing with an individualized programme prepared by the club’s medical staff as he works his way back to full fitness.
The session began with a dynamic warm-up before the players moved into 8v2 passing drills in three groups.
The squad then worked on possession exercises before finishing with a small-sided game.

Midfielder Mario Lemina and goalkeeper Günay Güvenç joined the team for the entire session.

Defenders Wilfried Singo and Roland Sallai, meanwhile, continued their rehabilitation programmes away from the main group as they recover from their respective injuries.
Osimhen’s gradual return represents an encouraging development for Galatasaray, although the club is expected to remain cautious with the striker as he builds up his fitness.
The 27-year-old is being assessed with a possible return against Kasımpaşa at Rams Park on October 9 in mind. Galatasaray will then face another major test when they host Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League four days later.
The Turkish champions will continue preparations for the Kasımpaşa encounter with another training session scheduled for Wednesday at 17:00.
