Celebrity Traitors Series 2 winner odds revealed ahead of BBC return

Celebrity Traitors returns to TV screens this week as 21 new stars prepare to battle over trust, deception and betrayal in the Scottish Highlands.

The second series of the BBC hit reality show begins on Thursday, October 1, with Claudia Winkleman once again taking charge as a volley of famous faces enters the castle for another game of dangerous plotting and daring intrigue.

Fans are delighted the series has finally hit BBC screens following the end of filming earlier this year.

The new series will see actors, comedians, musicians, broadcasters and TV presenters battle it out for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

With the launch now just days away, bookmakers have already priced up the celebrities in the winner market.

According to the latest odds by the Online Betting Guide (OLGB), Joanne McNally and Michael Sheen are joint favourites at 6/1.

Musician James Blunt follows closely behind at 13/2, while Bella Ramsey is priced at 7/1 and Maya Jama at 8/1.

The prices show how the betting market currently ranks the celebrities, although odds can change as the series gets under way.

When does Celebrity Traitors Series 2 start?

Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, October 1 at 8pm, with an extra-long opening episode.

The series will then air twice a week, with new episodes on Thursday and Friday evenings.

The celebrity edition of the reality series has proved as big a hit as the regular format, which staged its third season this year. Winkleman is enjoying a career boom alongside the series, which revolved around secretive missions, nail-biting round table discussions and the infamous nightly murders.

As with the regular show, the celebrities will be divided - with a handful of Traitors conniving to get through the game undetected while the larger team of Faithfuls try to unmask them.

The second series follows the huge success of the first Celebrity Traitors, which saw Alan Carr ultimately crowned the winner after playing as a Traitor.

Carr managed to keep his true identity hidden for much of the series, making it all the way to the final before walking away with the £87,500 prize for his chosen charity, Neuroblastoma UK.

As the new cast giddies up to enter the castle, viewers will have to wait until Thursday to find out which celebs Claudia has selected to secretly take on the Traitor role.
