Toss Australia chose to bowl vs Bangladesh

Australia captain Tahlia McGrath won the toss and, like the opening game, had no hesitation in bowling first in the second ODI against Bangladesh.

Both teams went in unchanged in bright and sunny Brisbane.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana had no issues in batting first, and reckoned that is what she would have done anyway. "We wanted to bat because we really wanted to test ourselves in the middle as a batting unit," she said at the toss. "We talked yesterday about what we could have done better in the first game, so we really wanted to reflect on that.

"I guess we really have to be very intense during our batting, and definitely we don't want to lose early wickets in the powerplay."

Bangladesh were bowled out for 166 in the first ODI, with Annabel Sutherland bagging four wickets. In reply, Phoebe Litchfield ran away with the game with a 57-ball 77 as Australia won with 146 balls to spare.

Australia lead the three-match series 1-0 and a win here will give them an unassailable lead.
