Usor suffers injury scare after UCL assist
Super Eagles forward Moses Usor suffered an injury scare in LASK’s 4-0 UEFA Champions League win over Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday, just over a week before Nigeria face Tanzania.
Usor was substituted in the 75th minute with a reported injury. There is no confirmed information on its severity or how long he could be out, and attention now turns to LASK’s medical assessment.
The 24-year-old earlier delivered the corner from which Kasper Jørgensen headed in the opener in the 19th minute at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz. Jørgensen added a second, and Samuel Adeniran scored the fourth.
The win was LASK’s second in four league-phase games and lifted them to 15th with six points. Slovan, who played without fans because of a UEFA punishment, have lost all four matches. LASK next travel to Bodø/Glimt on Tuesday, November 24.
The timing is awkward for coach Eric Chelle, whose side host Tanzania in Uyo on Friday, November 13, in the AFCON qualifiers, before the return leg in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, November 17.

Chelle is expected to name his squad in the coming days. Nigeria have three points from two games, behind leaders Guinea-Bissau on six.
Usor is one of the new faces in the squad. He scored the winner on his debut off the bench against Madagascar in Uyo on September 25. Last season he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 35 competitive games for LASK.
