A Chinese national, who allegedly sells fake food seasoning, was arrested in an entrapment operation in Cagayan de Oro City, according to a report on "Saksi" on Thursday.

According to the CIDG, the root of operation was a complaint filed by a company because of the proliferation of fake products.

About 160 boxes of fake food seasoning were bought from the Chinese national through an entrapment operation.

The CIDG said an employee of the said company confirmed that the products were fake and cost about P600,000.

The suspect, who will face charges related to the violation of Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, has not yet issued a statement. — BAP, GMA News
