Gleison Bremer seemed to launch a broadside at his Juventus teammates after the 3-0 defeat to Lazio. ‘I cannot just carry everyone, some hide and feel scared when they hear jeers.’

It was a dramatic night that ended with many fans leaving their seats, those who remained aimed jeers at the final whistle of a humiliating home defeat.

Oliver Provstgaard’s header, a Gustav Isaksen angled drive and late Fisayo Dele-Bashiru counter-attack sealed the unexpected 3-0 result for Lazio, who remain joint top of the Serie A table with Inter on 19 points.

Those two sides are already a massive eight points clear of Juve, who keep sliding down the standings.

“We had a bad performance, so naturally we’re not happy to have represented the Juventus jersey this way, but we’ve got to analyse our mistakes and immediately get back on track, because there’s no time for anything else,” Bremer told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had chances and played well until their goal, so the fact they scored at their first chance created a real sense of frustration in us. That is something we need to sort out immediately.”

Luciano Spalletti was suspended for this match due to his touchline altercation with Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane, but he seemed bemused at the sheer lack of determination from his players.

The coach appeared to question himself and wonder what needed to change in their working methods, so how did Bremer see it within the squad?

“It is true, the coach gives indications, but we are the ones who need to put it into action on the field,” replied the Juventus defender.

“However, there are 11 players on the field, plus the five who come off the bench, so I cannot just carry everyone. I try to give a hand, I talk to them, but they all have their own character. We can push them to a certain point, but that’s all, some have more character than others.

“If they hear jeers, they hide and feel scared. I know we have many new and young players, so if you compare it to the Juve of a few years ago, it is a different situation.

“That doesn’t mean I am pointing fingers at lads, but everyone is different. When things go badly, some react with determination, others hide away. That’s just their personality.”
