Translate

Hundreds of young demonstrators gathered outside Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate as the “GenZ regelt!” movement called for nationwide protests against political and social issues, in solidarity with student demonstrations across Europe.

Hundreds of young demonstrators gathered outside Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate on Saturday as part of a nationwide day of youth protests organised by the “GenZ regelt!” (Gen Z will sort it out!) movement.

The rally was among demonstrations planned in more than 30 German cities, including Frankfurt and Cologne, following student protests in several European countries.

In Berlin, protesters held banners calling for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron to resign.

Others chanted anti-capitalist and anti-fascist slogans, while speakers addressed the crowd.
