Obuasi Beverages CEO donates GH¢120,000 towards 33-year-old man’s brain surgery

Translate

The Chief Executive Officer of Obuasi Beverages Company Limited, Dr Amo Collins, has donated GH¢120,000 towards the emergency brain surgery of 33-year-old Edmond Benefo, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The contribution, equivalent to US$10,000, covers half of the US$20,000 required for Edmond's medical treatment and surgery in India.

Edmond's health challenges reportedly began with complaints of eye problems, which progressively worsened before medical examinations revealed a brain tumour requiring urgent surgical intervention.

His parents, Aron Benefoh and Christiana Graham, have been seeking financial assistance to secure the specialised treatment.

Dr Collins' donation is expected to ease some of the financial pressure on the family as they work to raise the remaining US$10,000.

The family is appealing for further support to meet the outstanding cost of treatment and facilitate Edmond's medical care in India.
