Inter confirm that John Stones has sustained a muscle strain in the flexor muscles of his left thigh which, according to Italian sources, will sideline the Englishman for nearly one month.
Inter provided an official injury update on their defender Stones on Thursday morning.

The England international suffered a muscle injury during Inter’s 5-3 win over Udinese on Monday night, in his first appearance as a starter with the Nerazzurri.
“John Stones underwent clinical and diagnostic tests this morning at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano,” Inter said.
“The tests revealed a muscle strain to the flexor muscles in his left thigh. His condition will be reassessed over the coming days.”

According to Sport Mediaset, Inter hope Stones will return after the break, when the Nerazzurri meet Parma at San Siro on October 10.
However, Italian broadcasters have not ruled out the possibility that Stones, 32, could be sidelined even longer.

As per TMW, the English centre-back will miss three to four weeks of action.
Both Stones and Hakan Calhanoglu will miss Saturday’s big game against Roma. The Turkish international didn’t even feature in Inter’s Udinese game earlier this week after sustaining a muscle strain in the adductor of his right thigh.
