Typhoon Queenie exits PAR
MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Queenie exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Sunday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau.

In its latest update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Queenie, with the international name Surigae, was monitored outside the PAR as of 2 p.m.

The typhoon was last spotted 830 kilometers northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.

According to Pagasa, Queenie had maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 190 kph.
The typhoon was moving northeastward at 20 kph. It entered the PAR last Thursday, Sept. 24.
