Mauritius refuses landing approval for flight from Israel, Air Seychelles cancels route

Mauritius authorities refused to grant landing approval to an Air Seychelles aircraft scheduled to arrive from Israel on Saturday, leading to the cancellation of the flight, tourism company Spirit World Productions said on Saturday.

According to the company, despite efforts made throughout the night, the Mauritian authorities maintained their refusal.

The company said the decision was apparently driven by political considerations.

Following the lack of approval, Air Seychelles was forced to announce the cancellation of the flight to Mauritius.

"We are saddened and disappointed by the decision not to approve the landing of the flight from Israel in Mauritius.

'We did everything in our power'

We are especially sorry that such a decision was made due to political considerations, directly harming Israeli passengers who have no connection to these decisions," said Tali Yativ, CEO and owner of Spirit World Productions.

Yativ added, "We did everything in our power until the last moment to ensure that the flight would depart as scheduled, and we continue to work with all relevant parties to assist the passengers and handle their cases personally, and with Air Seychelles to receive all the necessary information for continued assistance."
