Emmerdale's real life-couple share rare scene as Rhona issues a tough warning

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday's episode (20 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.
Real-life Emmerdale couple Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry share a rare scene tonight as Rhona Goskirk supports the Dingle family through their latest crisis.
The iconic soap clan have been thrown into fresh turmoil following the news that Tom King is being released from jail.

Tom has been behind bars since December 2024, when he was sentenced for abusing his wife Belle Dingle. The scenes marked the end of a long-running domestic violence and coercive control storyline.
This week, Belle has learned that Tom is being put up for parole after serving less than two thirds of his three-year sentence.
The news has sent Belle into a spiral as she fears that it's only a matter of time before Tom breaches his parole conditions and tries to control her life again.
In powerful scenes tonight, Rhona seeks out Belle and shares her own perspective, drawing on her experience with her villainous husband Pierce Harris.
Rhona helps Belle to take control of her feelings, then has a quiet word with Belle's brother Cain at The Woolpack in the closing moments of the episode.

Cain thanks Rhona for supporting Belle and making her feel more relaxed, but Rhona warns that the Dingles shouldn't let their guards down.
"You don't want her living her life on a high alert, but she has to be so careful," Rhona advises Cain.
"I'm just aware of the lengths that Pierce went to – and if Tom is fixated on Belle like Pierce was on me… absence can make it even more extreme, so he could be even more dangerous, Cain. You need to be prepared."
In real life, Jeff and Zoe became a couple after meeting when they attended the same drama school in the '90s. They tied the knot in 2003.

They rarely cross paths on screen in Emmerdale, although Rhona did support Cain earlier this year when it was time for the Dingles' pet dog Monty to be put to sleep.
Back in 2011, Jeff told Soaplife magazine: "I don't think we'll ever have a storyline together – Cain and Rhona are too different. Cain thinks Rhona's a bit of a snobby cow. For me and Zoe it works well."
The following year, Zoe told Inside Soap: "Let's be honest, Rhona and Cain would never interact!
"The only way they'd cross paths is if Cain bought a hamster and brought it into the vets, which is most unlikely. I can't imagine them having a conversation about anything.
"Jeff and I quite like that we don't do scenes together. It means we've got different days to talk about when we get home."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
