SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur —  Police arrested 14 persons wanted by the law, including two listed as most wanted at the city and municipal levels, in a series of coordinated manhunt operations across the Caraga region on Monday.

Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon, Police Regional Office 13 (PRO-13) director, said the operations led to the apprehensions of suspects facing various criminal charges.

In Butuan City, local operatives arrested five suspects, headlined by the city’s fourth most wanted person, identified only by the alias “Majur.” The suspect was arrested on a warrant for violating Section 5(b) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, with bail recommended at P200,000.

Elsewhere in the region, the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office tracked down and captured three fugitives, while the Agusan del Sur provincial police arrested one.

“I applaud our personnel on the ground for their unwavering commitment to their sworn duty of upholding the law,” Suguilon said in a statement.
