Trump says his super PAC will pay for controversial promotional ad campaign

President Donald Trump said Monday night that he will no longer use taxpayer funds to pay for a pro-Trump ad blitz ahead of the midterm elections, saying his super PAC will now pay for them. 

While he dismissed criticism of the ads as “a rather standard thing to do,” he said he had decided to run them on his own dime rather than that of the U.S. government.
