Former House speaker Martin Romualdez will remain confined at the Philippine General Hospital until further court orders
MANILA, Philippines – Leyte 1st District Representative and former House speaker Martin Romualdez has been transferred on Saturday, September 12, to the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) in Manila, days after he was served an arrest warrant at a private hospital.
The Sandiganbayan 3rd Division ordered his transfer to UP-PGH, as it handles his P7.44-billion plunder case linked to the flood control corruption scandal.
Romualdez will remain confined at UP-PGH until further court orders.
