Israir awaits final approval for Tokyo, Miami flights, adds new European destinations for 2027

Israir Airlines is awaiting final approval to operate flights from Tel Aviv to Tokyo and Miami, the Israeli carrier announced on Monday.

"We are working to secure the final approvals required for additional routes," the company stated, noting that it "will provide updates as the relevant processes are completed."

The airline further announced new flights to several destinations across Europe as the company prepares for what it expects to be a busy spring and summer 2027 season.

The new European destinations include Split, Croatia; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bologna, Italy; and Preveza, Greece.

Israir prepares to reach three million passengers annually

"The spring-summer 2027 flight schedule reflects Israir’s continued growth momentum and our preparations to reach the milestone of three million passengers," the airline said. "The schedule was developed through careful planning and by listening to the needs of the Israeli public, who seek a wide range of destinations alongside flexibility and competitive prices."

"We are offering over 41 international destinations across 24 countries, in addition to our scheduled service to Eilat, featuring new destinations, increased flight frequencies on popular routes, and significant operations to long-haul destinations," the airline continued.

"Israir will continue to expand its network of destinations and offer customers a wide variety of vacation options, alongside high-quality service, flexibility, and a modern, advanced flight experience,” the statement concluded.

The new schedule came following an announcement by Israir on Sunday that it will expand its operations in Morocco to two weekly flights starting in November, with a request submitted to operate a weekly flight to Casablanca.
