Banged-up Rams lose star WR Adams for 6-10 weeks, McVay says

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals and will be sidelined for six to 10 weeks, coach Sean McVay announced Monday.

It wasn't the only major injury suffered by a significant Rams player Sunday. Defensive tackle Poona Ford will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured triceps and defensive tackle Kobie Turner will miss four to six weeks because of a groin injury.

In addition, kicker Blake Grupe suffered a torn ACL in the game and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. The Rams had just signed Grupe last week after releasing the struggling Harrison Mevis.

The injuries are the latest hits for a Rams team that entered the season as Super Bowl favorites but sit at 2-4 after six weeks.

Star defensive end Myles Garrett has played just one game for the team after he was acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade. Garrett, who is on injured reserve due to a knee injury, will not return to practice this week, McVay said.
