Sir Gary Oldman says Prince William and Queen Camilla are big Slow Horses fans!

Sir Gary Oldman has claimed that two big members of the Royal Family are fans of Slow Horses. The actor, who plays Jackson Lamb on the hit Apple TV spy series, shared the news during a recent podcast appearance.

Speaking to Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused, Oldman said: "I know that Camilla, the Queen, is a big fan because, well, I’ve run into her a couple of times. Like you do, you know. And she said: 'Are there any more? I hope it’s coming back, isn’t it?'"

Revealing a hilarious anecdote about Prince William being a fan, he added: "It was William who said to me, 'Every time you come on the screen, I just want to give you a good wash'.

"So they’re big fans. It’s hard to imagine, isn’t it?" Oldman continued, quipping: "There’s sort of one of the Windsors at the palace on their sofa: 'Slow Horses is nearly on'."

It comes as the sixth season of the show is released today, which continues the story of spy boss Jackson and the MI5 rejects of Slough House, with the new episodes seeing the group on the run after they are embroiled in "a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge".

A seventh run is already confirmed, and an eighth was announced yesterday ahead of the new season debuting, with the newly-confirmed episodes based on Mick Herron's Clown Town from his Slough House series.

Meanwhile, Oldman recently opened up about his future on the show, admitting Herron knows when Jackson will die.

"You don’t really get much help from Mick Herron," he told Radio Times. "You ask him questions, and he says, 'Oh, I don’t know about that. If it’s not on the page, then I haven’t thought about it.' Which I don’t believe for a minute. I heard recently that Mick knows when, where, and how Lamb will cop it…"
