There is one confirmed victim, and the suspect is also dead, according to the sheriff's office.

Based on preliminary information, "we believe this is a targeted incident," Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said on social media.

Authorities did not specify the nature of the threat or say how the victim or suspect died.

The incident prompted a large law enforcement response. A law enforcement source told ABC News that agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be responding to the scene.

"We are currently clearing the building and will provide updates as they are available," the sheriff's office said.

Authorities asked Citibank employees to meet at a reunification site in the parking lot of a nearby Sheraton.
